haha, here comes some discussion!
1. I think the Gyro Captain and Jebediah are different. 2. I think all three Max's are the same.
1. It says the Gyro Captain became the new leader of the Great Norther Tribe. However I have some dumb theory of Jebediah being Co-Pilot but that's unimportant.
2. Max is max since he says he was a cop "...a Driver." also he still has basically the same clothing and calls himself Max.

Interesting.
Max is obviously the same. He has a seriously "blackened" iris eye in Thunderdome, as suggesting a glaucoma situation ---> the left one, the same damaged in RW. Continuity! In Thunderdome, Max wore an elastic bandage in order to replace the leg equipment. Keep in mind Thunderdome is set 15 years after RW, and Max had all the time to make his wuonds heal... almost.

MERMAID CAVE - BLUE MOUNTAINS - NSW AUSTRALIA Hello people ! Today I went to Mermaid Cave and took some great photos. These are going to appear on madmaxmovies.com very soon. It is a must see destination for any Mad Max fan. For those of you not familiar with it, it's where the "Crack in the Earth" jungle scenes were filmed. I even got to sit in the exact same places as Max did twenty years before. Luckily for me I took some still photos from the DVD of Thunderdome to take with me so I had a pretty good idea of what to look for. For starters you had to be nimble of foot to get in there. How they carried tonnes of camera gear etc in I'll never know ! Once in I was awestruck at how recognisable it was compared to the movie. The water fall running in the middle is pleasant. And what an echo chamber it is. I bet the sound guy/s had a bastard of a time ! The place is not easy to find. With no signposting at all and it was by pure luck that I stumbled across it. Rating out of 10 for wheelchair access: minus 10,000. If you would like me to email photos to you please let me know. Cheers, Dave

Oh my God, twenty years ago... looking to your cool reports, man! It might be a nice time-travelling, if you know what I mean.
Dave... so you re-watched Thunderdome after all this time, mmmm... what's your opinion 'bout this fantastic movie today? Tell me, what was the reaction of the theatre's crowd to the movie, when you watched it the very first time in 1985? Just curious about it.

Uncle Entity, Mad Max 1 & 2 can only be described as brilliant. Always were, always will be. Thunderdome was (by far) the lowest grossing movie out of the three. People just didn't "get it". Even today, when I mention Thunderdome to people they go on about how crappy it was. How it made no sense what so ever. I saw it at the movies in 1985 during the initial rush. Just before word got around that it was rubbish. I must admit that I was totally lost. Now that I'm 19 years older (and wiser ??) I'm really enjoying it ! Was it ahead of it's time ? I'm sorry Uncle for saying this stuff. Because I enjoy it now AND I took those spy photos of Bartertown 20 years ago AND I went back to the Brick Pit recently to get some fresh photos of the area AND I made the treck to Mermaids Cave to gets photos of that area too.....do you forgive me ?

Ahead of its time? Sure.
Brilliant? Sure.
Masterpiece? Sure.
Forgiven you? Sure. You clear it up your consciousness, that's clear! (no pun intended).
Australia turned its back to the greatest Aussie movie ever produced. What a irony. We Italians use to say: "Nobody is regarded as a prophet in his own homeland". Catch it?

Your saying is universal and correct.
Now that I have all three on DVD I can see how Thunderdome is a natural progression from 1 & 2.
Very under-rated movie.
The Mad Max series changed the face of Aussie movies forever.
"But he's just a raggedy man"
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
