Hello to my fellow post-apocalypse survivors. Has anyone else here been to the real-life Thunderdome run by the Death Guild at the Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert of northern Nevada? I'm looking forward to fighting there at BM 2004. But don't worry about me; it's not "dyin' time," just "getting slightly bruised from being pounded by a boffer sword time." There shouldn't be any fatalities. Last year I wasn't able to secure an opponent, but this year several fellow Burning Man participants have taken me up on the challenge. One is bigger than Blaster, I would say. I'll have my hands full. Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe that Ian (the large one) is at all susceptible to high-pitched noises. A whistle wouldn't do me one bit of good, unless I jammed it up his nostril perhaps. So wish me luck--I've got to get considerably better at this by then or likely I'll be turned into pigfood. --Shiva the Destroyer

Shiva, Don't worry. If this brand-new Blaster will "blast" you, then you can always refugee in the desert/Wasteland... where a tribe of little children would eventually rescue you... In the end, you'll mess up the whole Burning man camp Anyway, I envy you. Let us know how it did come to an end.
