Hi guys! I'm a big fan of the Mad Max Trilogy and I've been trying to find a forum site that would put a show for our favorite Road Rage Anti-Hero. This site came as an answer to my prayers and I find it awesome. Thanks for the people who made this site possible. I'll hang around here for awhile. 'Till then. [glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow]

Hey thanks! Well, I'm a big fan of the Mad Max trilogy (as you can tell ;D) and I'm also into some freelance writing (especially cyberpunk). Mad Max had aroused me into the culture of cyberpunk and the post-apocalyptic world where resources are dwindling, nobody can be trusted and most of all, our hero is walking on the edge. It's intriguing the way people behave in this post-apocalyptic nightmare, because the atmosphere that Mad Max holds is a possibility--that this COULD happen (not that I want it though . Oh and you should also check some of Mel Gibson's other films, especially Lethal Weapon 1. Martin Riggs is Max Rockatansky! Well...if you make him louder and more psychotic... Oh...and my favorite Mad Max movie? All of 'em!--as they have their own independent flares. The first one gives us a welcoming glimpse to everything: the new Australia, the Last of the V8's, Max when he became mad. The second brings us to a newer world but far worst than before--and the vermin that inherited even Max. And the third--where societies began to thrive anew but still, Max was fated to live, scavenge and roam--alone. To me, every Max is a classic!

Hey Wrangler.
I have to say I totally agree with you man, many people totally complain about Thunderdome or Mad Max, saying they're not as good as their beloved Road Warrior. Not that Road Warrior isnt good. ITS A MASTERPIECE, but people should understand that Thunderdome is the natural progression for Max's Journey. If fuel was running out in RW, you can only expect it to be gone after 18+ years!
Also on the "Mad Max 4: Fury Road" idea, more and more people keep popping up and saying they hope Miller doesn't "ruin" it like he did Thunderdome. Those aren't fans of Mad MAx, those are Road Warrior obsessionists only wanting a remake of Road Warrior. Who wants a remake!?
[glow=red,2,300]THE TRUE FANS WANT AN ALL NEW ALL ACTION ALL GREAT TALE OF MAD MAX ROCKATANSKY![/glow]

Well said, dude. It's rather disappointing that not all Mad Max fans share mutual interests concerning the three films. I mean, the one thing I kept hearing on why Road Warrior was so popular was because of the blood, guts and gore which was apparently plenty in comparison with the other Mad Max movies. Blood, guts and gore? Tsk, these people should watch the trilogy again because they've surely missed a lot more. George Miller should be given more credit and respect not only because he amplified the violence in Road Warrior, but because he did one hell of a job in all of the Mad Max movies. Heck, these guys did a lot of backbreaking research in making the trilogy. We've got surrealistic character developments, awesome cascades of scenery, wild chases and stunts, some dark humor too and the one thing that most sequels have been lacking--essential continuity. Oh...and what about the awesome muscle cars, motorcycles, junkmobiles and jalopies? Great and tedious work was done to come up with something more than just blood, guts and gore. (OK, that's the last time I'll mention blood, guts and gore.) Anyway, like the mailman, George delivers. No doubters on this ride baby! We'll just have to fasten our seat belts 'coz there ain't no cruise control! 'Till then, Tycho!
