www.wayney.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/eltopo.htm us.imdb.com/Title?0067866www.thegline.com/dvd-of-the-week/2002/12-02-2002.htm The weirdest movie ever realized on the face of Earth... one of the greatest masterpieces ever been. I think God George Miller was in a way inspired by this jewel: every main "Mad Max" element was truly into it, vehicles apart. We're talkin' about a 1970's flick who summed up the whole Max's journey across the Wasteland. One, Road Warrior and Thunderdome, all into a whole beautiful package of genius. This was the birth of the POST-MODERN ADVENTURE. Long before "THE OMEGA MAN" (1971), or "ZARDOZ" (1973), or Go NAGAI's "VIOLENCE JACK" (1973) or even "THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR" and "A BOY AN HIS DOG" (both 1975). I'm a collector/expert/fanatic of the genre since I realized to be a Mad Maxian, so trust in me. Just a clue... "El Topo"... well, in Italy it means "The Mouse"... reflexes to anyone?

The SciFi Channel had an original movie which aired Saturday and is a maxian rip-off. I started watching it, but had to leave the house, so I missed the rest of it.
It's called "Deathlands". Vincent Spano stars as a Prince denying his destiny. It was gross, violent, but very sexy.
It would be worth a screening if you can catch it.

TBOT, I always heard about it too. Unfortunately, they never aired it here. Too bad you didn't taped it! Anyway, have you never heard about "EL TOPO"?
