Guys,
I always loved this character, and always will. It's one of my faves, despite the fact his screen time is actually limited. GEORGE SPARTELS did a magnificent jop, playing this trickster/ruffian/wannabe fighter... and first of all, he's a mechanic!
I have some points to ponder with you, if you really want:
1- The first time Max has been introduced to Underworld, Master-Blaster didn't care about our hero at all, because as we all know there was that impelling trouble of the BOOBY TRAP-equipped junkmobile... BOOM! I don't remember how much dynamite Max put below his junkmobile ("it's a class job") but for what I reckoned, it was a very LARGE amount, ready to explode. Anyway, Master-Blaster trusted in Blackfinger, despite Master apparently hated the man. Well, some of you just remember HOW Master called Blackfinger in the very first time? He said something like that: "Where is that kind of mechanic, Blackfinger"... I just can't remember what was the specific word Master used to define Blackfinger - Plus, I'm Italian. Anyway, that means Blackfinger wasn't that great as mechanic, and he could not replace Master in Bartertown second run, in my humble opinion ;D Maybe he was the mainman for the Junkmobiles... but definitely NOT a replacement to the engineering mind of Master.
2- I always wondered why Blackfinger belongs to Master in the Saturday Night scene. He's a real two-timer!
3- Blackfinger and his involvement with the chase scene. If you think for a while, Aunty SHOULDN'T use Blackfinger in such a dangerous operation... he was the only mechanic she got at that time. On the other hand, Blackfinger was the only one to know how to repair the damaged Junkmobiles (it seems he built them up, maybe that's why they all trust in him). Aunty couldn't pay risks to be struck in the middle of the Wasteland with her QUEEN WASP out of the business. The problem is that Blackfinger made the hero in a couple of action scenes - HA HA! Poor Aunty, she was really desperate I guess.
Just some points, guys.
