I've sent an email to Peter Barton. His website is very well structured and a section with my pictures would suit it beautifully. It is good to see that someone has posted a photo of the Homebush Bay site from a couple of years ago. God, I thought all this stuff was destroyed !

Hello again guys. Sorry I've been quiet the past few days, I had my daughter with me over the weekend and because I'm seperated I only get to see her fortnightly. Anyway...... I was just going through my photos looking for the Thunderdome shots. I've just located two of them. One of them shows the Thunderdome in relation to the surounding area. The other one shows the "cars" lined up side-by-side. I've still got more to find. Once I get organised I intend on giving you a link so you can see them all together. And for the first time because in all the years I've had these photos I guess a grand total of 8 people have seen them. So why didn't I sell them to a magazine at the time ? Probably because I'm a thingyhead ! Stay tuned for more..... Ohh, and something else......you know when Max and the Gyro Captain fly over Sydney at the end and it's totally devestated ? Well, I saw the actual model the footage was taken from and it was mighty impressive. And the size ! I was shocked at how big it was. When I saw the model at each side of it was parked two of the "cars" from the Humungus gang. Not mocked up cars but the actual one used in the movie. Have I already said how lucky I was to get to see all this ? As I said......stay tuned...... Dave

Hello people ! My name is David, I'm 41 (yeah, I know, old bastard) and I live in Sydney, Australia. I was one very lucky man during the filming of Thunderdome all those years ago. I took a series of photos of the Thunderdome itself the day before it was blown up. They look very much like "spy" photos because we had security guys on our cases. Thunderdome was built where the Sydney Olympic Stadium stands today (the site was an abattoir which is appropriate I guess). The jungle scenes were filmed in the Blue Mountains just west of Sydney. A friend took me to the exact spot where it was done. The plane in the sand was done at Kurnell which is right near the international airport just south of Sydney. If any of you have any questions for me I'd be more than happy to help out. Is it possible for me to post photos in here so I can share my Thunderdome images with you ? I'm sure you would enjoy them very much. Cheers, Dave
